Programs & Organizations

Junior golf grows fastest when the pathway is clear: where to start, how to develop, and where to compete. These two lanes cover the best entry point for brand-new golfers and the most common routes for competitive juniors leveling up in the Borderland.

First Tee – Greater El Paso (Entry Level)

The primary youth golf development program in El Paso. First Tee is the best starting point for new junior golfers — structured coaching, confidence-building reps, and a clear progression from clinics into on-course play.

  • Beginner-friendly pathway (clinics → leagues)
  • Great for ages learning fundamentals + course etiquette
  • Coaching built around consistency and confidence
  • Strong base before moving into tournaments

Competitive Pathways (Advanced Juniors)

For juniors who want to compete, the path usually runs through school golf plus regional junior events. This is where players build tournament habits, learn course management, and start stacking real scoring reps. If you have a tour/event link we should add, drop it in the Junior Clubhouse below.

  • High School Golf: team matches, district play, seasonal schedules
  • Regional Junior Events: weekend competition within driving distance
  • Qualifiers + Invitationals: stepping stones to bigger fields
  • Training Rhythm: practice → compete → review → repeat

Junior Golf News

Quick hits — Short updates from around the Borderland junior golf scene.

Spring season momentum is back

Junior golf ramps up fast in March and April — especially for school teams and weekend clinics. If you’re new, this is the best time to lock in practice reps and find a program that fits.

Parents: build a simple tournament rhythm

The fastest improvement usually comes from a steady loop: practice → play → review. Even one competitive round per month keeps juniors sharp without burnout.

Spotlight: entry points matter

The best junior pipelines make starting easy and progression clear. We’re building this page to be the “where do we start?” answer for El Paso families.
